A Seafood Cake...

As mentioned in my previous posts, I have been going around giving all the good food that I haven't been eating frequently a good try. And I don't really want to waste my time making a trip down to 'Maxwell Food Centre' with the 'Oyster Cake' stall closed, therefore I decided to give this place a try...

'Oyster Cake'(蚝餅)
The stall owner over here is making and preparing 2 different types of 'Oyster Cake'.
There's the normal type and a special type with additional ingredients. Basically on
my 1st attempt, I have gone for the special 'Oyster Cake' and it was stuffed with 2
prawns, 2 oysters, peanuts, minced meat, vegetables and ikan bilis. And the shape of
the final product was similar to the shape of a UFO (Unidentified Flying Object).

First of all, the texture of the 'Oyster Cake' isn't too oily. As and when you take
a bite off the 'Oyster Cake', you will definitely be getting the taste of a mixture
of 2 or more ingredients. The elderly stall owner have been using fresh seafood
ingredients in the slow and tedious process of making each and every piece of
'Oyster Cake', which probably explains the delicious taste and the large customer base.
The nice mixture of all the ingredients simply make it even much more irresistible.
Basically, I have also tried the normal 'Oyster Cake', but it's not even half as
satisfying as the special 'Oyster Cake'.

Random shot of the stall and the 'Oyster Cake'.
Basically, one particular reason why 'Oyster Cake' is a delicacy might probably
be due to the fact that it's super duper rare. There's probably only 1 out of 1000++
stalls out there, that still continues to prepare and sell delicious 'Oyster Cake'.

The name of this stall would be 'Poh Hwa Fu Zhou Oyster Cake'(寳華福州蚝餅).
It's located in one of the coffee shop which is located near 'Mustafa Centre'.
